CBSE 10th Result 2021 Evaluation Formula

After the cancellation of the CBSE Exam 2021, the students are very much confused about the mark calculation process. Everyone asking “How the Marks will be calculated?” Well, on 2nd June, the board has released a Policy for the tabulation of Marks of Class X. We have discussed everything for you in simple words.

  • First of all, the evaluation process will be done out of a maximum of 100 Marks in each subject.
  • Out of 100 Marks, 20 marks are fixed for Internal Assessment Tests, and the rest 80 marks are for the Year-end Board Examination.
  • As you know, 20 marks have been awarded by the School or Institutions and shared with the board.
  • Due to COVID and exam cancellation, the committee and the School will calculate the rest 80 marks looking at previous examination results and performance.

This is how the 80 marks will be calculated:

Tests r ExamsFull Marks
Unit Test (Monthy)10 Marks
Half Yearly or Mid-Term Examination30 Marks
Pre-Board/Test Examination40 Marks
Total80 Marks

The school will make the average of highest secured marks of three subjects out of the top five main subjects in the evaluation process. The average marks will be considered as your final marks.

Firstly, the school will gather all your marks secured in Unit Tests. Then, they will calculate the average percentage of all the subjects. After that, the Average highest percentage marks of periodic test will be awarded to you from the full characters 10.

For Example: If a student has secured the highest marks with 70%, 80%, and 90% in Math, Science, and English. Then his average percentage is 80. Hence, the student will get eight marks out of 10 marks.

Similarly, your percentage from Half Yearly or Mid-Term Examination will be calculated, and you will be awarded marks out of 30 marks.

In the last, your Pre-Board/Test Examination’s highest percentage subject marks will be used to award marks from 40 full marks.

Now looking at the evaluation formula, you can calculate your CBSE Board Exam 10th Class result. The board has also added that, if the student is not satisfied with the results, then he can appear the Physical examination after COVID-19 lockdown.
